THE MUSTANGS GIVE BACK

On Thursday, November 16th, 2023, Volunteer Coordinator, Katie Grabill gave a tour to a group of local students from Mary Frank School, THE MUSTANGS GIVE BACK.  A group of 4th and 5th Graders from Mary Frank School have formed a club to learn about Community Service.  Led by their teacher, Tonya Rhodes and several volunteer parents, these students conducted a food drive and collected and were able to deliver 270 lbs. of food to the Mishawaka Food Pantry.  After dropping off the food to the Pantry, Katie Grabill, Volunteer Coordinator, gave the students and parents a tour and explained how the Pantry serves our local Mishawaka/Osceola (Penn Township) community.  She explained the importance of the presence of the Pantry in our community, how we serve clients and the impact that the Mustangs donation would have on the families which we serve.  We wanted to give a big SHOUT OUT to the Mustangs, their teacher, Tonya Rhodes, and the many parents that came and toured the Pantry.  What a valuable lesson to learn at such a young age!  Donations from groups, such as this, are what help keep the Pantry able to serve the citizens in our community.
