What We Believe

At Mishawaka Food Pantry, Inc., we believe that every individual has a right to access food, clothing, and community. Situations sometimes dictate that a person cannot, on their own, provide these basic necessities. We are fortunate to live in a community that has felt responsible to provide for and care for those in need.  Through your generosity, we strive to provide these basic needs while displaying compassion and kindness to all who enter our doors.

What We Do

The Mishawaka Food Pantry, Inc. is a service dedicated to serving those in need.  We provide individuals with food, clothing, hot lunches, family development, toiletries, transportation solutions, and most importantly, a sense of community.  Individuals in poverty are often marginalized by society because of their lack of means to participate in it.  At the Mishawaka Food Pantry, Inc. everyone is made to feel welcome.  We provide a space for individuals with similar stories and experiences to come together in our cafe that serves free lunches Tuesdays through Thursdays.  The Pantry is committed to providing a caring and friendly atmosphere that will leave our clients feeling more confident, hopeful, and empowered.

How We Work

When an individual in the Mishawaka, Granger, and Osceola communities is in need, they are able to come to the Mishawaka Food Pantry, Inc. to seek assistance.  A client must bring a piece of mail and a current I.D. to access the pantry.  They will then be provided food, clothing, and toiletries based on the number of individuals in their household.  Hot lunches are served on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and are open to anyone in need.  Any individual seeking assistance is also able to access family development services.  Lastly, transportation solutions are offered to clients who have begun a job in the past two weeks or have medical appointments to attend.  If you have any questions regarding services, feel free to visit our Contact page.
